ABOUT US

Never Hunger Never Thirst was started out of a need for people the poor and homeless to have access to food and other necessities.

We are here to serve all people who are in need of food, and have a desire to fellowship with others.  Our services include catering to the needs of families as well as individuals.

Our desire is that each one is fed, has access to clothing and social services.  Our church, the True Vine Church has a ministry for men, women and children who need shelter.  Everyone who comes to the soup kitchen can receive a free meal as well as counselling in getting benefits, seeking housing, donations of clothing, and training or education.

Jesus said, "For I was an hungred and ye gave me meat:  I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink, I was a stranger and ye took me in: naked and ye clothed me:  I was sick and ye visited me:  I was in prison, and ye came unto me " Matthew 25:35

Verily, I say unto you, inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me."  Matthew 25:40

                                        Help for the Hungry

10/14/2017 - I have been serving sandwiches to the needy in Pawtucket, RI for three months now and it has been an amazing adventure.  I knew that there was a high poverty rate in Pawtucket, but I had no idea of the number of people who were homeless as a result.  Rhode Island ranks as 27th in the nation for its rate of poverty.

Every day I go downtown Pawtucket and I see the same people going to work every day.  Then I see the people who do not have homes or who are suffering from disabilities – people who lack food, shelter, clothing, and cars.

Once I started passing out the food, I discovered that there are more people who are hungry than we think.  The people never complain that they are hungry and they do not go around asking for food.  You would not know they are hungry, unless you ask.

I approached a woman who was waiting for a bus wearing casual clothing.  She was neat.  However, when I gave her the sandwich, she devoured it so fast, that I gave her another.  I saw her again a few weeks later and gave her another sandwich.  The second time I did the sinners prayer with her and she was saved.  She showed me a Bible and rosary beads which she carries around in her purse.  She was so happy about accepting Christ into her heart that she gave me a hug.

This woman shared with me that she was not able to sleep at night because of the surmounting problems she and her family were struggling with and so, we prayed together.  So many of the people are struggling.  The Bible says, "Be careful for nothing: but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.  And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus,” Philippians 4:6.

Thank God for his compassion and richness in love!
